He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence D. "Sam" Freeman, Sr. and Beatrice L. Freeman (Ebersole); his son Samuel Christopher Freeman; and his brother Donald E. Freeman of Waynesboro. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Freeman (Smith); his children, Mandy Kerns of Waynesboro, Erin Swope of Pittsburgh, PA and Benjamin Freeman of Waynesboro; and his sisters, Mary Talbert of Hagerstown, MD, Donna Freeman of Waynesboro, Becky Freeman of Waynesboro and Kimberly Freeman of Waynesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
