He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Byers and Mary Jane Byers (Burkett); and his son Paul "Skip" Kiner. He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Lisa K. Snyder of Waynesboro, Kristine D. Mena (Jose) of Rockville, MD and Douglas C. Byers of Cumberland, MD; and his sister Rosalie E. Bricker (Glen) of Waynesboro. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
