It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard I. Hersh of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, born in Manchester, Maryland, who passed away on July 4, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Hersh and Hilda V. Hersh (Barnhart); his wife Joann H. Hersh (Hollinger); and his siblings, Arlene Myers and Earl Hersh.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffery L. Hersh (Margaret) of Waynesboro, VA, Douglas A. Hersh (Tracy) of Burke, VA and Debra L. Thompson (Grant) of Glen Allen, VA; and his grandchildren, Lauren Hersh, Gillian Hersh, Genevieve Hersh, Jake Thompson and Brandon Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
