She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Rothrock Hanawalt and Ina Kirk Hanawalt; and her brother Lee Hanawalt. She is survived by: her husband Richard J. Barkanic; her children, Kristin Bambini (Geoff) and John Barkanic (Jessica); her grandchildren, Madison Bambini, Drew Walton, Mason Bambini, Gia Bambini, Jackson Barkanic, Jameson Barkanic and Jaelyn Barkanic; her brother Ray Hanawalt (Cynthia); her siblings-in-law, Marcella "Marcy" Hanawalt, Barbara and Mark Harrison; her niece Amanda Stafford (Stephen); and her great-nieces, Elizabeth and Katherine Stafford. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Green Hill Cemetery (953 S Potomac St, Waynesboro, PA 17268).
