He was predeceased by: his parents, P. Floyd Chalfant and Julia S. Chalfant; his sisters, Jean C. Gee and Dorothy C. Morgret; and his son John S. Chalfant (Jason).
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Thomas Chalfant; his children, Paul F. Chalfant III, Ann B. Gedrose (Steven Gedrose) and James D. Chalfant (Cathy B. Chalfant); his stepchildren, Paul D. James, II, Keron Psillas Oliveira and Ali C. Bowman (Lester Bowman); his grandchildren, Jessica D. Carroll and Ian R. Starkey (Maria); his nephews, Edward Morgret (Sarah) and Robert Morgret (Ginger); and his great-nephews, Nicholas and Clarke Morgret.
