She was predeceased by: her parents, Meeris Moats and Betty Jane Moats (Barnhart); and her son Jessie L. Hykes. She is survived by: her husband Mark W. Hykes; her children, Peggy A. Stefenelli of Washington State and Kevin S. Hykes of Greencastle; her grandchildren, Zachary, Ross, Isabella and Isaac; and her siblings, Gary Moats of Waynesboro, Barb Burford-Moats of Cascade, MD and Diane Tieman of Waynesboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
