She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Levi and Elva Whorten (Everett) of Clear Spring, MD.; and her siblings, Jacob Whorten, Marguerite Smith and Donald Whorten.
She is survived by: her husband Ira Bruce Barr; her children, Ira Bruce Barr, Jr. (Kelly) of Arbutus, MD, Kathy Joann Thorp (Michael) of Wapella, IL, Jeffrey Scott Barr (Joan) of Smithsburg and Brian Kevin Barr (Sharon) of Towson, MD; and her siblings, Walter Whorten, Elva Saunders, Ethel Tracey and David Whorten. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
