She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester S. Harrington and Annie Harrington (Lindstrom); her stepson David W. Smith; and her siblings, Hazel Vaught, Elizabeth Hughes, Chester Harrington, Jr. and George Harrington.
She is survived by: her husband Franklin D. Smith; her children, Michael C. Brett (Patricia A.) of New Bern, NC, Richard G. Brett (Betty L.) of Carrollton, TX, Patsy J. Bullock (Gary L.) of Bedford, IN and Gary L. Brett (Elizabeth) of Orrtanna, PA; and her stepson Bradley M. Smith of Waynesboro. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
