It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn J. Bender of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Lester Head and Edla Ingeborg Head; her husband Donald Francis Bender; and her siblings, Larry Head, Steven Head and Kathy Marker.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Anne McSweeney (Bob) of Carlisle, PA, Lisa Marie Shriver (Tom) of Waynesboro, PA, Tara Elizabeth Freeman (Randy) of Waynesboro, PA, Dawn Francesca Buckner (Tony) of Fayetteville, PA, Eric Gregory Bender (Laurie) of Hagerstown, MD and Alexa Denise Dickinson (Kevin) of Waynesboro; her grandchildren, Nathan, Jordan, Danny Shriver, Erin Puett, Jason, Brad Freeman, Nick Buckner, Andrea Grimm, Marisa, Joe, Matthew Bender, Elizabeth Ball, Brianne and Hanna Dickinson; her great grandchildren, Sydney, Charlotte, Rhys Shriver, Connor Puett, Elliott, Owen Freeman, Ainsley, Harper Freeman, Tristan Grimm, Alexx and JJ Bender; and her close friend Ken Dickinson. She is also survived by two brother –in-laws, two sister-in-laws, many nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews.
