It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie (Hess) Martin (Waynesboro, Pennsylvania), who passed away on August 28, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hess, Sr. and Mildred M. Hess (Bonebrake); her husband Sterling W. Martin; her son Eugene W. "Yogi" Martin; her daughters-in-law, Pat Martin and Carol Martin; and her siblings, Margaret E. Valentine, Louise H. Whitmore, Pauline G. Martin, Joseph Hess, Kenneth Hess and John H. W. Hess, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Nancy E. Wildeson of Chambersburg and David S. Martin of Waynesboro; and her brothers, Walter "Doc" Hess of Mont Alto, PA and Robert Hess of Mont Alto, PA. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
