She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin C. Martin and Madeline Martin (Kauffman); her husband Burlin T. "Jake" Verdier; her son Dennis L. Martin; her son-in-law Randy E. Bakner; and her brother William H. Martin.
She is survived by: her daughter Joyce A. Bakner of Waynesboro; her grandchildren, Lori Cornett, Dennis Martin, Jr., Lisa Peiffer and Ashlie Funkhauser; her great grandchildren, Taylor Stine Jefferson, Joshua Peiffer, Shelby Roth, Cody Martin and Everett Funkhauser; and her brother Charles C. Martin of Shippensburg, PA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
