He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Chamberlin and Lula Mae Chamberlin (Shockey); his wife Mary Elizabeth Chamberlin; and his siblings, Thelma Roof, Clayton Chamberlin, Robert Chamberlin, Charles Chamberlin and Louise Dolkla.

He is survived by: his children, Aletha K. Bumgardner, Colleen Henderson (Todd), Kimberly Hall (Ron) and Darwin Chamberlin (Bernice); and his grandchildren, Gretchen, Justin, Tara, Nathan, Derek, Zach, Nicole, Jeremiah and Nicholas. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
