He was predeceased by: his parent Aretta Mae (Potter); his son Ernest Poper; his brothers, Ernest Jr. of Markwood, Edward Jr., Roy Jr. and Poper Jr.; and his stepson Skeeter Engles.
He is survived by: his parent Roy A. Poper; his spouse Sharrie Lee Poper (Bump); his children, Julie Poper of Waynesboro, PA, Mikki Poper of Waynesboro, PA, Gary, Michael Poper of Waynesboro, PA, Martin and Troy Poper of Waynesboro, PA; his stepson Jimmy; and his sisters, Bertha Virginia Brown of Waynesboro, PA and Mildred U. Minnich of Greencastle, PA.. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
