She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery L. Toms and Virginia R. Toms (Smetzer); and her brother Robert L. Toms. She is survived by: her children, Michael LaPole (Denise) of Waynesboro and Sara LaPole Hammel (Jeff) of Ocean City, MD; her grandchildren, Nathaniel, Emily and Adam LaPole; her sister Nancy A. Eccard (Jim) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and her close friend Susan McBride (Schaller) of Waynesboro. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
