He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph M. Shatzer, Sr. and Edyth Sanders Shatzer; his wife Lois J. Berger Shatzer; and his brother Fred Shatzer. He is survived by: his children, Gary Shatzer of Waynesboro, Jay Shatzer (Patty) of Waynesboro, Thomas Shatzer (Peggy) of Waynesboro, Carol Shatzer-Goolsby (Ralph) of Martinsburg, WV, Timothy Shatzer (Andie) of Waynesboro and Durene Shatzer-High (Butch) of Moyock, NC; and his brother Michael Shatzer. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home Inc. (45 S Carlisle St, Greencastle, PA 17225). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home (45 S Carlisle St, Greencastle, PA 17225).
