He was predeceased by: his parent John A. "Jack" Abbott, Jr.; and his daughter Emily A. Abbott. He is survived by: his parent Carolyn S. Abbott (Sharp); his spouse Lois S. Abbott (Stine); his son John A. Abbott, IV; his significant other Janelle Kendrick; and his sister Diane A. Martin of Greencastle.
