McDaniel of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, born in Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on March 15, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul E. C. and Mary E. McNamee (Mowen); and her siblings, Virginia Stonebraker, Lorraine Ebersole, Lillian Bartles, Thelma Oberholzer, Lois Luicille Helman, Elaine Lewis, Mahala McNamee, Samuel McNamee, Charles McNamee, Lindy McNamee, Paul McNamee and William McNamee.
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Ward McDaniel, Jr.; her children, Marvin L. Zaccaria, II (Sherry) of Hagerstown, Anna M. Rockwell (Ed) of Hagerstown and Alisa M. Shindledecker (Todd) of Smithsburg, MD; her grandchildren, Nicholas Zaccaria (Rebecca), Aaron Zaccaria (Tim), NJ of Logan Kendall, NC, Taylor Rockwell, MD of Garrett Rockwell, MD and Sarah Zaccaria, MD; her great grandchildren, Case and Addy; and her sister Patricia Michael of Hagestown, MD. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
It was Janice's wish to have her body donated to Humanities Gifts to further anatomical study and research. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to "Lung Cancer Research Foundation", 155 East 55th Street, Suite 6E, New York, NY 10022 or to Antietam Humane Society, 8513 Lyons Rd.
