He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J. Roberts and Dorothy Roberts (Gunnett); his daughter Vicky; and his brother Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Carol Roberts (Noll); his close friend Larry; his children, Holly Lutz (Brian) of Waynesboro, Trenda Smith (Brandon Wyrick) of Waynesboro, Kenny Smith (Marla) of Waynesboro and Tammy Smith of Waynesboro; his grandchildren, Tracy, Allyson, Devin, Kellan, Annabelle, Blythe and Connor; and his siblings, Charlie Roberts (Cathy) and Valerie (Clarence).
