It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James F. Matthews Jr. in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 9, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James, Sr. Matthews and Marguerite Matthews (Rowe); his sisters, Virginia Matthews Helman, Helen Matthews Snyder and Elizabeth Matthews Helman; and also Marie Matthew Orbitz (Beard).
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey L. Matthews (Lisa Ann) of Waynesboro, Adam R. Matthews of Waynesboro and Ashley E. Matthews (Steven Butler) of Waynesboro; his granddaughters, Ember Butler of Waynesboro and Megan Matthews of Enola, PA; his brother Walter "Buck" Matthews (Linda) of Florida; and also Cynthia Kelley of Waynesboro. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
