She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Hartle and Blanche Hartle (Snurr); her children, Linda B. Miller and Samuel H. Buhrman; and her great grandchild C. J. Gauss.
She is survived by: her daughter Carolyn Brookens of Waynesboro, PA; and her sister Jane Gray of Casa Grande, AZ.. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren.
