He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace A. Hollister and Alta J. Hollister (Brown); and his siblings, Bruce Hollister, Elma Shaffer, Martha Ball and Bonnie Hollister.
He is survived by: his wife Rev. Ruth A. Hollister (Black); his children, Rev. James Hollister (Sondra) of Ransom Township, PA, Mark A. Hollister (Brenda) of Duncannon, PA, Shari R. Houdeshell (Ernie III) of Waynesboro, PA and Laura M. Hollister (Erin) of Carlisle, PA; and his sister Verona Williams (Tom) of Tunkhannock, PA. He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
