It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Barton of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester M. Essich and Naomi G. Barton Essich (Kefauver); and his stepfather Herbert J. Essich, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Shelva J. Barton (Lesher); his children, John L. Barton (Amy) of Valrico, FL and Audra L. Lucas (Jay) of Chambersburg, PA; his stepsons, Tim Crider (Barb) of Rouzerville, PA and Greg Crider (Sue) of Gettysburg, PA; his grandsons, Tyler Bock and Aaron Bock; and his siblings, Dennis Barton of Lititz, PA, Susan A. Toms of Waynesboro and Nancy Fream of Hanover, PA. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
