He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy R. Sheffler and Alice Sheffler (Sheeley); his wife Lois "Jean" Sheffler (Kauffman); his daughter Brenda J. Sheffler; and his brothers, Guy Sheffler, Jr., Bob Sheffler and Dean Sheffler.
He is survived by: his children, Floyd R. Sheffler, Jr. (Judy) of Waynesboro, Anita L. Baker (Eddie) of Waynesboro, SuEllen King (Richie) of Brunswick, MD and Terri E. Sheffler of Waynesboro; and his sister Anna Arnett of Waynesboro. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren.
