She was predeceased by: her parents, Clark V. Bakner and Beulah G. Bakner (Miller); her husband Thomas Clair Simmers; her granddaughter Amy M. Hummer; and her brother Melvin Bakner.
She is survived by: her children, Debra S. Sentz (Fred) of Waynesboro, Bambi L. Davis (Kevin) of Mont Alto, PA, Lori J. Hummer (Rick) of Waynesboro and Thomas C. Simmers, Jr. of Waynesboro. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
