She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard J. Benchoff and Gertrude M. Benchoff (Gable); her daughter Michelle L. "Shelly" Trostle (Lowry); her siblings, Alma Howe, Lois Catherine Benchoff, Hobart, Paul, Carl, Richard "Dick" and Joseph; and her former husband Charles "Chip" Lowry.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa "Missy" Johnson (Denny) of Waynesboro and C. Patrick Lowry of Waynesboro; her grandchildren, Jarred Johnson (Jillian) of Porter, TX, Taylor Trostle (Brandon Trude) of Oakton, VA and Jordan Trostle of Reston, VA; her great grandchild Juliette Olivia Johnson; her son-in-law Mark D. Trostle of Annaoplis, MD; her brother Raymond "Jed" Benchoff of Waynesboro; her sisters-in-law, Carmen Benchoff of Riverside, CA, Jean Benchoff of Mont Alto, PA, Emily Lowry of Waynesboro and Cindi Hovis Reeder of Greencastle, PA; and her former husband John Hovis of Chambersburg. She is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Inc. (50 S Broad St, Waynesboro, PA 17268). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home (50 S Broad St, Waynesboro, PA 17268).
