He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Michael and Vesta Sarakon (Wolff); his daughter Norma Kay Sarakon; and his brother William R. Shoemaker. He is survived by: his wife Elsie E. Sarakon (Gehr); and his son Michael W. Sarakon. He is also survived by two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one niece; one nephew; and several cousins.
