He was predeceased by: his parents, George Koons and Iva Koons of Roadside. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jane Henicle; and his children, George Koons (Sandy), Jean Koons, Emily Matthews (Doug), Linda Crumbacker, David Koons (Gwen), Ellen Jackel, Craig Koons (Della) and Pam Fitzsimmons (Mike). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
