He was predeceased by: his parent Robert Ankerbrand; and his siblings, Thelma "Sis" Kell and Joseph "Woody" Ankerbrand. He is survived by: his parent Caroline Ankerbrand (Cordell); his spouse Cathy Jo Ankerbrand (Hockenberry); his sister Bonnie L. Heinrich of Smithsburg, MD; his aunt Virginia Minnich of Waynesboro; and his uncle Richard Cordell of Fayetteville, PA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
