She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. Cook and Carrie Maye Cook (Rook); her husband George E. Layton; her grandchildren, Christianna Rochelle Layton, Robin Cherie Layton and Jeremy Allen Layton; and her brother Joel Ronald Cook.
She is survived by: her son Christopher L. Layton of Waynesboro; her grandsons, John Layton, Tyler Layton (Meghan) and Asher Layton; and her great grandchildren, Molina Grace Layton, Ronald Anthony Mele Layton, Charlton George Marshall Layton and Wright Layton.
