He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertis F. Freeman and Goldie I. Freeman (Monn); his wife Luvella J. Freeman (Gates); his grandsons, Shawn Freeman and Robert Fickes; and his siblings, Avada "Peggy" Kline, Franklin "Ted" Freeman, Robert "Jack" Freeman, Standford Freeman, Bertis M. Freeman, Allen C. "Bubby" Freman, James Welsh and Junior Welsh.
He is survived by: his children, David L. "Billy" Freeman (Vickie) of Waynesboro, Stanley E. "Eddie" Freeman (Pamela) of Waynesboro, Annette Deneace Fickes of Fayetteville and Brian L. Freeman (Tina) of Waynesboro; and his siblings, Anna P Carbaugh, John Ordean Freeman, Lona M. Bumbaugh, Mary D. Misner, Marguerite Welsh, Carol "Sonny" Freeman and Wanda Straley. He is also survived by six grandsons; one step-granddaughter; 19 great grandchildren.
