He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Wright and Kathryn M. Wright Shade (Rock); and his stepfather Ernest W. Shade, Jr.. He is survived by: his son Michael L. Wright of Waynesboro; and his former wife Betsy L. Wright (Bare). He is also survived by extended family and friends.
