He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence David and Ruth Blubaugh (Creager); his son Gordon E Blubaugh; and his siblings, Glen O. Blubaugh and Ruth Elaine "Lanie" Sanders.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia S. K. Blubaugh; his children, David Asa Blubaugh (Cathy) of Waynesboro and Clarissa Sue Bingaman (Dennis) of St. Johns, AZ; his grandchildren, Carrie Forney (Toby) of Waynesboro, Christi Mong (Jimmy) of Waynesboro and Trisha Blubaugh of Waynesboro; his great grandchildren, Vincent Blubaugh, Taryn Mong, Sydnie Beidel and Jasper Beidel; and his sister Gloria Daley of Waynesboro. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
