He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold C. High and Verva Bumbaugh. He is survived by: his wife Jean Marie High (Loudenslager); his son Jeffrey L. High (Suzanne) of Middletown, MD; his grandsons, Christopher High and Nicholas High; and his uncle Robert F. Bumbaugh of Waynesboro.
