With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles E. Mcferren of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 19, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Charles E. had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Charles E. may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Jack" McFerren and Janet McFerren (Walters); and his brother James "Jim" McFerren. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn McFerren (Harbaugh); his children, Kristin Hunter (Jack) of Berkeley Springs, WV, Kevin McFerren (Elen) of Canton, MA and Linda Lindberg (Bo); his grandchildren, Morgan and Colin; and his sister Nancy Scriniere (Carl) of Palmyra, PA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family and friends.
A reception was held on Saturday, August 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Inc. (50 S Broad St, Waynesboro, PA 17268).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one's choice.
