She was predeceased by: her parents, Scott L. Smith and Minerva G. Smith (Hartman); her husband John E. "Merf" Tosten, Jr.; her son J. Scott Tosten; and her stepmother Wilma G. Smith.
She is survived by: her pet Motley; her children, Michael Tosten of Aiken, SC, Sally Borzager (John "Rusty") of Selbyville, DE and SueAnn McKendrick (Eric) of Waynesboro; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Tosten of Coburn, PA, Julie Metz of Chambersburg and John Borzager of Chambersburg; and her sister Susan Erb (Greg) of Hanover, PA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
