He was predeceased by: his father Carl W. Berndt; his wife Dortha J. Berndt (Hardman); and his son Charles D. Berndt. He is survived by: his stepparents, Douglas S. and Hazel M. Berndt-May (Ketterman); his children, Cathleen Kline (Terry), Michael Berndt (Elizabeth) and Elizabeth Miller (Robert); his granddaughter Rachel Hardin (Joey); his children, Grayden, Annalee, Zeke Berndt and Major Miller; and his great grandchild Bentley Hardin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Carl's name to St. Judes, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the Lunch Place, 100 South Church St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
