She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger A. Smith and Florence M. Smith (Kepner); her husband Robert H. Helfrick; and her siblings, E. LaRue Kugler, Helen Lucille Zimmerman and J. Marshall Smith. She is also survived by two step-granddaughters; two step-great-grandchildren; her step-daughter-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
