He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Hopkins Sr. and Grace Hopkins (Snyder); his brother Jamie Reedy; his great grandchild Jayden Klinger; and his in-laws, Evelyn, Charles Steranko, Hazel and Pat Purcell.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley J. Hopkins (Heim); his children, William Hopkins III (Marcy) and Heather (Adam Spotts); his grandchildren, Dakota Shomper (Gary), Codi Keller (Adam Barnes), Aaron Hopkins, Skye Bickleman, Anthony Hopkins, Joyce Spotts and Samantha Spotts; his great grandchildren, Carter, Carson Shomper, Willow Barnes, Charlotte Shomper, Zaiden Poznanski, Nova Bickleman, Mavrik Bickleman and Barnes; and his siblings, Nancy (Jim McNulty) and Melvin Reedy (Peggy).
The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home to defray cost of funeral expenses.
