He was predeceased by: his cousin Joseph H. Hartmann; and his parents, Thomas Erskine and Ada Erskine (Funke). He is survived by: his friend Sheila Ashley; his cousins, Elizabeth H. Schurmann, Margaret R. Hartmann, Beth Lefferts (Roger) and Edward Hartmann (Teresa); and his goddaughter Kimberly Lindemuth.
