He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Layden and Helen F. Layden; his stepmother Mary Layden; and his brother Kevin Layden (Bonnie). He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" M.; his sons, Joe, Jr. (Sally) and Will (Melissa); his grandchildren, Anna, Ryan, Molly, Julia, James and John; and his sisters, Joanne McNamee (Michael) of West Barnstable, MA, Cathleen Nichol (Tom) of Barnegat, NJ and Mary Gibney.
A Mass was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Italian American Club of Wayne (301 W Wayne Ave, Wayne, PA 19087). Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the St. Isaac Jogue's Parish (50 Walker Rd, Wayne, PA 19087). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Washington Memorial Chapel Cemetery.
