He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Shelsy and Lillian Shelsy. He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Kit" D. Shelsy; his children, Catherine S. Collins (F. Scott) and John F. Shelsy (Kim); his grandchildren, Amanda, Allison, William Collins, Cortlyn and Reese Shelsy; and his sisters, Phyllis Fear (late Dyck) and Evelyn Janas (Jean Pierre).
Viewing was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Assumption Chapel (35 Old Eagle School Rd, Wayne, PA 19087). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (235 Matsonford Rd, Conshohocken, PA 19428).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's name to Sports Legends of Delaware County Museum, 301 Iven Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087, would be greatly appreciated.
