She was predeceased by: her parents, Duane Davis and Pearl Davis (Kennedy); her husband Lester C. Bates; and her sisters, Sandy Robinson, Romaine Maybe and Alberta Podunajec.
She is survived by: her sister Marilyn Podunajec of Waymart, PA.; her children, Susan Loring and Philip Bates; and her grandchildren, Rebecca Brown of Honesdale, Timothy Loring of Honesdale and Jessica Loring of Honesdale. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
