He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Smith; his children, Bruce Smith (Nui) of Bangkok, Thailand and Pamela Schwartz (Joel) of Berwyn; his grandchildren, Todd David Chaffee, Charlotte Lynn, Philip Alden William Smith, Jamie Elise and Aaron Benjamin Schwartz; and his great grandchildren, Grayson Alden and Owen Jacob Smith.
Due to Covid restrictions his service and burial were private for the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Bryn Mawr Hospital or The Berwyn Fire Company are preferred.
