He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dorothy Jane Stroupe Reif (Janie) of Charlotte, NC.; his parents, William Christian and Frances Jeannette Swoyer Reif (Jean); his grandparents, Judge Alfred Edward, Helen Lathrop Swoyer, William J., Katherine Hartung Reif and W. J. Reif; his daughter Shelley Lynn (David Alton Armitage); his grandsons, Silas Alton, Jonah William and Eli Blaine Armitage of Greensboro, NC; his son David William of Drexel Hill, PA; his sister-in-law Nancy Stroupe Lambeth (Phil); his nieces, Anna, Allison and Amanda of Charlotte, NC; his sister-in-law Becky Stroupe Stowe (Edwin); his nieces, Rebecca of Charlotte, NC, Elizabeth of Jackson, WY and Laurie Ann Strohm Neal of Tucson, AZ.; his sister Barbara Ann Reif Strohm (Wilbur); and his nephew Brian.
