With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley B. Derrick of Waymart, Pennsylvania, born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 5, 2024 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley B. Derrick to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert G. Derrick Sr.; her parents, Archie Brown and Grace Goodman Brown; and her siblings, Evelyn Johannes, Orval and Maurice Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Derrick (Greg Johnson) of Elizabeth City, NC, Robert G. Derrick Jr. (Trudy) of Beach Lake, Mary Olver (Jerry) of Honesdale and Thomas Derrick (Kim) of Waymart; and her son-in-law Paul H. Mathews of Waymart. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Shirley's memory to either the Waymart or Beach Lake Fire Company.
