He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Podunajec and Theresa Podunajec (Vrtiprah); his siblings, Mary Wittig, Stephen Podunajec, Katherine Roe, George Podunajec and Edward Podunajec; and his nephew Jeffrey Podunajec.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Podunajec (Davis); his children, Kathy Podunajec of Southampton, NJ, Mark Podunajec (Laurie) of Lake Ariel and David Podunajec (Marcy) of Waymart; his grandchildren, Stacie, David, Tyler, Maggie, Sara and Ethan; his great grandchildren, Liam and Dylan; and his siblings, Joseph Podunajec (Barbara), James Podunajec, Paul "Butch", Gloria Gebert (Jerry) of Waymart and Barbara Jezercak (David Sr.) of Honesdale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Peter's memory to the Parkinson's Research Foundation.
