He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Burdette C. Gardner and Nellie Gardner, RN (Richards). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth A. Holbert; his children, Robert Gardner (Rosemary) of Waymart, Beth Hauenstein (Leonard) of Aldenville and Nancy Sparrow (Edward Sr.) of Carbondale; his grandchildren, Timothy, Matthew, Sarah and Edward Jr.; his great grandchild Ava; and his brother John Gardner of Holcomb, NY..
