It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janet K. Houman of Waymart, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 16, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William Houman; her parents, Lyman Delbert Kennedy and Hazel Kennedy (Robinson); and her brother Robert Kennedy. She is survived by: her friend Judy Fairchild; and her children, Gwen Poltanis (Bill) of Waymart, Karen Robinson (Bob) of Pleasant Mount, Vicki Houman of Carbondale and Todd Houman (Barbara) of Waymart. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janet's memory to a local chapter of the American Diabetes Association or The Open Door Cafe, payable to United Methodist Women, with Open Door Cafe noted with the donation, PO Box J, Waymart, PA 18472.
