It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola M. Confer of Watsontown, Pennsylvania, born in Muncy, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle C. Wishard and Irene M. Wishard (Hartzel); her husbands, Jay Houseknecht, Grover Haynes and Clarence Leroy Confer; and her sisters, Irma Wertman and Josephine Stroup.
She is survived by: her children, Donna E. Bieber (Fred) of Watsontown and Jay "Bud" M. Haynes of Pennsdale; and also Pastor Doug W. Mellott. She is also survived by three step-sisters, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.
