It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Metzger of Watsontown, Pennsylvania, born in McEwensville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 12, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Shoemaker and Irene Shoemaker (Pick); her son Thomas Metzger; her grandson Joshua Metzger; and her siblings, Jean Springman, Lois Catherman, Thomas, Roland and Marvin Shoemaker.

She is survived by: her son Richard Metzger (Julie) of Lewistown; her grandson Matthew Metzger; her siblings, Harold Shoemaker (Ruth) of Watsontown, Dorothy McNett of Montgomery, Doris Gifford of Milton and Charlotte Williams of Mercer; and her sister-in-law Dolores Shoemaker of Turbotville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
